Green Deal Assessors
What is The Green Deal?
The Green Deal is a government backed scheme, aimed at helping homeowners securely make improvements to their homes with regards to energy efficiency and warmth. If you're a property owner or tenant, make sure you’re not missing out on the benefits of this scheme.
Homeowners can be given up to £10,000 to make their building more energy efficient through a variety of measures. Some examples range from pipe work insulation to putting in under floor insulation. You can choose a Green Deal package that suits you! Common packages include new boilers, solar panels and cavity wall insulation.
- No up-front costs
- Using energy efficiency means saving money on lower bills
- Simple process and very little paperwork
- Warmer home
The Green Deal process has four stages:
- Green Deal Assessment
- Green Deal Plan Proposed
- Repayments through Energy Bill
How it Works
One of our Green Deal Assessors will visit your property. Using our specialist software, we will identify a number of energy efficiency improvements you can make and what the financial savings could be. During this visit, you will also find out how the payments will work and what is likely to be cost effective. Our Assessor will produce a bespoke Green Deal advice report and a plan for you to implement.
If you would like to go ahead with your Green Deal Plan, installation will be carried out by certified Green Deal Installers. After the installation has been completed, you will begin to make repayments through your energy bill.
Please note that there is no obligation to undertake the improvements in your Green Deal plan and applying costs you nothing.
Your energy efficiency improvements are paid for, over time, through your electricity bill. Your electricity supplier will send your payments to your Green Deal Provider. The amount you repay will be no more than a typical household will save on heating bills, so you are likely to benefit from day one.
Please keep in mind that this is not a normal personal loan as the charge is attached to the electricity meter in your house and paid back through your electricity bill. If you move homes, the new occupant will be responsible for the charge whilst also benefiting from a property that is more energy efficient.
Who Can Apply for The Green Deal?
The Green Deal is available to homeowners, private tenants, landlords and businesses. You will not be credit checked or means tested so the Green Deal is open to everybody! Make sure that you get in touch today to find out more.
